Resident Freshman Academic Scholarships
These scholarships are based on cumulative high school GPA and composite ACT or SAT scores. New students must take the national ACT test before March 1st to meet our March 1st scholarship deadline. If you have not taken the test before this date, please call us at 800-848-3399 and we will provide appropriate options prior to the deadline.
NOTE: While you may qualify for an academic scholarship, these awards are awarded based on available funds. We encourage students to apply as early as possible.
Available Academic scholarships:
Scholastic Merit ($400/year)
One year scholarship
Academic Merit ($1,200/year)
One year scholarship
Academic Excellence ($5,500/4 Semesters)
Renewable scholarship

To see which academic scholarship you may qualify for, look at our Resident Awarding Levels
All Scholarships are "WAIVERS," not cash awards. NOTE: GPA must be submitted on a 4.0 scale.
If you are awarded a resident freshman academic scholarship you will be e-mailed a copy of your contract. You will be required to accept the scholarship on your Badger Web. By accepting the scholarship on Badger Web you are agreeing to the terms and conditions contained within the scholarship contract.  These terms bind you, the student, to the requirements of the scholarship.
If you choose to interrupt your education for church, military service, maternity leave, or extended medical or personal reasons while the academic scholarship is in effect, you may be eligible to use the remaining portion of your award at a later time. You must complete a scholarship Hold Form and provide the necessary support documentation prior to your absence in order to hold your scholarship. Resident Freshman Academic scholarships and leadership scholarships are the only deferrable scholarships. If you are awarded a departmental scholarship and want to take a leave of absence, you will need to contact the department when you return and re-apply for the scholarship by March 1st.  Scholarship Forms and Information:
